Searching for $cents Annual Fund Drive
In 1764, French philosopher Voltaire wrote “It seems that nature has given the dog to man for his defense and for his pleasure. Of all the animals it is the most faithful: it is the best friend man can have.” KYK9’s recipients of its services, friends and supporters like you would agree with Voltaire’s sentiments knowing the invaluable service our organization provides. So we come to you again with a request to help with our annual fund drive to support KYK9’s mission.
2014 was a year of successes and firsts as we:
conducted 27 searches for missing adults and children
attended 10 national trainings
assisted more/new Kentucky and Indiana law enforcement agencies
expanded outreach efforts into more schools and organizations
held first annual Sips and Sampling Soiree fundraising event
launched Pennies for Pocket fundraising campaign
expanded board membership
In other exciting news, I qualified in Alabama state courts as an expert witness K9 handler in human remains detection. This important designation reflects KYK9’s professionalism, credibility and dedication and we are very proud of our growing reputation and recognition.
Our search dogs Remy, Scout and Pocket are doing their part to find missing loved ones in their greatest hour of need. Can you find it in your heart to support KYK9 so that more families can be helped by their extraordinary service?
Thank you
